Southwest Contractor has released their list of the Top General Contractors of 2010.
Achen-Gardner ranked #44 out of 112 in Southwest Contractor magazine's 2010 "Top Contractors of the Southwest"; based on 2009 revenue from general contracting firms in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico.
According to Southwest Contractor, the top 100 contractors (in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico) reached a record high of $19.6 billion of work performed in the 2008 calendar year. This year's top 100, ranked with 2009 revenue, only brought in $14.2 billion in revenue - a drop of 27.7%. General contractors in Arizona experienced an even bigger drop of 34.9%, from $10.2 billion in 2008 to $6.6 billion in 2009.
Despite the overall industry decrease in revenue, Achen-Gardner has improved the company's overall ranking of #45 in 2009. Among the "Top 50 Arizona Contractors", Achen-Garder ranked #24, also gaining ground from last years ranking of #27. In addition, Achen-Gardner was ranked in the "Top 20 Transportation Contractors" and "Top 10 Water Supply Contractors" categories.
