Achen-Gardner Construction hosted a live demonstration of our Ultraviolet Light (UV) Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) rehabilitation process in the parking lot of Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
The event was held on August 19 and was sponsored by Achen-Gardner Construction, Dibble Engineering, and Pro-Pipe in co-operation with the City of Phoenix. Representatives from five Arizona municipalities (City of Phoenix, City of Glendale, Lake Havasu City, City of El Mirage, and the Town of Queen Creek) and one representative from Denver, Colorado (Metro Wastewater) attended the demonstration. Dan Broderick, Achen-Gardner's Director of Pipeline Rehabilitation, was on-site to explain the UV CIPP process, answer questions, and promote this high-quality and cost-competitive CIPP rehabilitation solution. Representative from five engineering firms were also in attendance (Dibble Engineering, Carollo Engineers, Project Engineering Consultants, Brown and Caldwell, Morrison Maierle). In addition to the lining demo, Pro-Pipe performed their Cosmic Top-Hat lateral seal demo.
It was a hot day in Phoenix (109 degrees) but the fans kept attendees cool under the shade canopy where we supplied cold drinks, snacks and lunch. The lining process went as planned but had to be slowed down to meet the lunch schedule. Dan Broderick added "It was a very successful event and I’m sure we have more believers in the process after this demo."
