West Anthem Lift Station No. 76, Force Main and Water Main
Project Owner: City of Phoenix
Project Type: Design-Bid-Build
Construction Dates: 04/20 to 03/21
This project included construction of a new lift station with masonry wall and installation of a force main and water main.
The lift station services residents of West Anthem that are within City of Phoenix limits who were previously serviced by an EPCOR agreement. This lift station includes one 5’ diameter manhole, two submersible 35-horsepower pumps, a 7-foot-diameter, 31-foot-deep precast polymer concrete wet well, and a 200kW generator and will accommodate flows of up to 0.5 MGD.
Total quantities included more than 900 LF of APS Utility 4" ductbank/conduit, 9,200 LF of single and double barrel force main (24", 18", 10", and 8"), 3,400 LF of 4" ductile iron water line, 4,900 SY of pavement replacement, and 8,200 SY of micro seal. Due to much of the project's location within Maricopa County right-of-way, coordination was required with MCDOT personnel for both traffic control and construction purposes.
