This project will enhance the accessibility, safety, and functionality of Smith Road, from Apache Boulevard to University Drive. This critical half-mile street will connect to major arterials and accommodate all modes of travel, including walking pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. These improvements will increase visibility, bicycle and pedestrian safety and include pavement markings and signage for bike lanes, upgraded sidewalks, ADA bus shelter pads, ADA pedestrian ramps and driveway improvements, storm water catch basins and conveyance, landscaping, and lighting.

Project scope includes:

  • More than 2,998 SY of pavement

  • 19 storm water catch basins

  • 282 LF of 30” storm drain

  • 447 LF of 24” storm drain

  • 152 LF of 18” storm drain

  • 446 LF of 15” slotted drain
