Achen-Gardner Construction is honored to win two American Public Works Association (APWA) Public Works Project of the Year Awards for our Town of Paradise Valley 56th Street Reconstruction CMAR project.

Recently, the Arizona Chapter APWA announced that our 56th Street Reconstruction project had won the Public Works Project of the Year Award in the Transportation (Less than $5 million) Category. Win or lose, all projects that are submitted in statewide APWA competitions are forwarded to the national competition. Facing off against the best projects in the United States, the 56th Street Reconstruction project has also won the National APWA Public Works Project of the Year Award. According to the APWA Chapter Coordinator, "your selection puts you in a very elite group of winners and APWA is proud to have those on this project epitomize the public works profession and our association."

We will accept the Arizona APWA Award at the Statewide Conference on August 11, 2016, at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Hotel in Tucson, AZ. We will accept the National APWA Award at the 2016 PWX (National Conference) on August 29th at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The 56th Street Reconstruction project has also won the Arizona Chapter Associated General Contractors' BUILD ARIZONA AWARD as well as the ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE HONOR AWARD from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Arizona.
