As the American Public Works Association (APWA) 2015 Congress approaches, attendees from all over the world are encouraged to visit some of Arizona’s greatest public works projects, including one of our own.

Since January 2015, members of the Arizona Chapter APWA and other industry professionals have written articles that promote Arizona. These articles have been featured in the monthly APWA Reporter magazine in an effort to build interest in the 2015 Congress, APWA’s international public works conference and exposition being held at the Phoenix Convention Center on August 30th through September 2nd. The June issue of the APWA Reporter features a story that highlights some of Arizona’s most exciting public works projects that Congress attendees should visit. Among these projects is the SanTan Vista Water Treatment Plant. The story describes how this facility is actually one part of a four-project program created to increase the water supply in the rapidly growing Southeast Valley. Another one of those four projects is Achen-Gardner Construction’s Central Arizona Project (CAP) Pipeline to the South Water Treatment Plant (SWTP) Design-Build Project.
